Black Ops 6 & Warzone players panic after last

Black Ops 6 and Warzone players suspect Call of Duty’s anti-cheat system will improve in Season 3, but a job posting raised doubts.
In Season 2, Activision prioritized gameplay tuning, quality-of-life improvements, and addressing ongoing bugs instead of introducing new Warzone content. As a result, the seasonal update made no significant changes.
The decision didn’t ruffle too many feathers because players were optimistic that the backend changes would ensure Verdansk launched in a more polished state for Season 3. However, Warzone fans got more bad news when the update was delayed by two weeks.

But that patience only extends so far, though, and a recent job posting has players second-guessing their unwavering trust.
Job posting scares CoD players about anti-cheat changes

CharlieIntel reported, “Activision has posted a job listing for a Senior Director, Game Security to ‘lead a team of engineers, reverse engineers, Windows kernel developers, and machine learning experts… to tackle the anti-cheat space for Call of Duty.'”

“This is really bad,” Warzone streamer Swagg said.
“We got less than a month until Verdansk, it’s cooked,” CoD news reporter Modern Warzone added.
“So the upcoming changes might not fix much of anything,” CoD content creator NerosCinema asked.
While this may not seem to be the most encouraging sign on its surface, it could also be interpreted as Activision investing more money into getting leadership on the team and making Ricochet the bulletproof anti-cheat it was meant to be.
